Circle Innovation
public relations
Circle Innovation is a non-profit that helps facilitate technology solutions and innovation for small and medium-sized companies. They connect these organizations with consumers, tech providers and other stakeholders to solve R&D challenges, grow revenues, create jobs, and develop emerging technologies across Canada. Founding members of Circle Innovation include Simon Fraser University, Canada's leading university in research and innovation, as well as AGE-WELL, Canada's federally-funded technology and aging network.
In close collaboration with Circle Innovation, The Tea strategized a media event showcasing industry partners who were the recipients of $4.7M in healthtech funding from Circle’s Healthtech SME program. The goal of the event was to drive attendance from federal, provincial, and municipal levels of government and media. This included a comprehensive media outreach plan, with pre- and post-event engagement tactics.
Press outreach involved distributing press releases and advisories, including embargoed releases to interested outlets, and coordinating a Cision wire release. The Tea also supported the day-of logistics, including pre-event site visits, and day-of coordination with media, videographers, and photographers.
This resulted in media coverage across major broadcast and editorial outlets both in BC and across Canada.
